The control for discontinuous rotary movement has a rotating cam roller (3) with a peg (4) which comes into contact with the slots of a disc in order to produce intermittent rotation of the disc about an axis parallel to that of the roller. Between the cam roller (3) and the disc (6), a cruciform plate (8) is fitted so that transmission of impacts from the peg (4) to the edges of the slot (7) are avoided. The cross is so arranged that the contact point of the peg (4) with the edges of each groove (9), the tangential component of the peg (4) speed is zero in relation to the disc (6). The intermediate disc (11) is arranged at an angle to the slotted disc (6), and carries fingers (12) arranged opposite the disc grooves, so that at least one of these fingers stays in engagement with a disc slot during the rotation of the driving roller (3).
