Sheet folding machine roller drive - has separate belt drives for top and bottom rollers connected by gear drives

Drive for folding rollers of a sheet folding machine includes for each folding assembly a stationary mounted folding roller and a numbe ro frollers flexibly mounted on adjustable units and a number of endless driving belts with belt tensioning devices. The folding rollers (1, 3, 5) which are nclosed in a top folding pocket (11, 12) are fitted with a top belt drive (15 to 17) and the folding rollers (2, 4, 6) which are enclosed in a bottom folding pocket are fitted with a bottom belt drive (18 to 20). To resists the resulting tension forces the belts (15, 18) of the belt drive are guided across adjusting direction of the folding rollers by deflection units (16, 19). The top belt drive (15 to 17) and the bottom belt drive are connected by a number of gear drives (21, 22).
