Floor air outlet comprises an air outlet area with slots (20) of which the longitudinal axes extend radially from the centre, and beneath the air outlet area cylindrical receptacle with air inlet openings in ts side walls. The height of the webs (21) between the individual slots is not more than 1 1/2 times the average slot width (Y), and the length (L) of the slots is not more than 8 times the width (X) of the webs. Pref. there are at least 15 slots arranged only at the edges of the air outlet area of which the central zone (22) is free from slots. The slots may be arranged at up to 45 deg to the radials in the manner of the position of turbine blades. The inlet openings in the cylindrical receptacle may be provided with adjoining guide surfaces.
