<p>The expansion-joint edge protection is for application between adjacent fields in cast concrete floors, as in large industrial workshops. It comprises a strip-shaped soft fibre panel, for filling to just below the top edge, and other strip-shaped anchorable shaped pieces of metal for letting in to the top edge areas. Flat shaped-section battens (a) are set parallel and connected to the top end of the flat sides of the soft fibre panel strip (7), on both sides and across its whole length. These have anchoring flaps (15) punched out of their lower parts at intervals, and then bent back sideways. Blind shear-off rivets (13) may be used as fixtures for the flat shaped battens.</p> |
