<p>The earthing clamp, for a screened telecommunications cable, can be connected to the cable quickly and easily, and consists of a spiked jaw that screws down onto the cable biting through its outer insulating sleeve to the conducting earht screen beneath. The cable is placed in a semicircular hollow (11) in the top of a base (3). The spiked jaw consists of a crosspiece that moves down onto the base by means of a single centre bolt (4). One end of the crosspiece has a semicircular clamping piece (9) with spikes (10) around its circumference and the other end has a spacer (12).</p> |
