<p>A light bicycle is fitted with a lightweight frame (V) on adjustable supports, and with a glider (T, G) above the frame. The glider is stressed by a number of strings (S) and a frame above the wings (T). A propeller (P) is driven by a linkage (U) from the pedals to enable the craft to fly. The machine can be a tandem of light motorcycle. It enables man powered flight to achieved with a simple layout. The propeller can be replaced by other types of impeller, e.g. an umbrella type drive which is expanded on a pushing stroke and contracted during forward movement.</p> |
