Two games are described, table football (illustrated) and a corresponding adaptation of tennis. In both a ferrogmanetic ball is moved by electromagnets, which are placed out of sight underneath the (aluminium) field of play. The players switch on the electromagnetics with push buttons; For the tennis version the magnets are mounted on four swivel arms, two at each end of the table; for the football they are fixed. The football field is furnished with 22 model players, some of whom have no electromagnets; but some players with magnets can 'kick' the ball in more than one direction. The tennis table has a net and a ramp reaching towards it from each side, but with a gap between the net and the end of the ramp. It can be used by 2 or 4 players.
|
