Pressurised water launcher tube for torpedoes - has inflatable bag in launcher tube for water pressurisation

The launcher tube contains an inflatable bag (2) within the space between the stern (11) of the torpedo (4) and the rear closing wall (3) of the launching tube. The torpedo is ejected by pressurised water when the bag is inflated and pressurises the water. The torpedo is held normally by a ring seal (6) between the launcher muzzle and the torpedo nose. This seal also ensures pressure for ejection. The torpedo is launched from its launching tube by a liq. such as sea water. The liquid is pressureised withint the launching tube and no air is let out through the launcher tube.
