<p>A monorail cabin travels on an overhead track with a rail having a spur rack underneath, which at least on inclines, is engaged by a drive wheel on the locomotive and running rollers on the cars. The carrier rail has a running rail (13) on top with an arched running groove (14), and a guide rail (15), with an arched guide groove (16) at the bottom. The latter groove is also serrated, at least on inclines. The cars or locomotive have running wheels (10) with pneumatic tyres, fitting the running groove, and the locomotive has tyred drive wheels (11) fitting the guide groove, with a surface fitting the serrations while the areas not engaging this serve as adhesion drive sections to engage appropriate guide groove surfaces (19).</p> |
