SETTING DEVICE FOR PASSING SPEED OF ON LINE HEATING DEVICE OF CAST BILLET IN DIRECT ROLLING AND ON LINE HEATING METHOD

PURPOSE:To make the on-line heating of a cost billet optimum by providing a computing element operating a passing speed on each number of the fixed pieces of the cast billet on receipt of the temp. signal of the cast billet and the counting signal of the number of the passing pieces and a means controlling the speed of a table on receipt of a command based on the arithmetic result. CONSTITUTION:The temp. signal corresponding to the cast billet temp. signal on each piece measured by a radiation thermometer 1 and the count signal counted by a hot metal detector HMD2 are transmitted to a computing element, and the induction heating coil passing speed of the cast billet corresponding to the temp. signal of each number of specific pieces (each multiple of the strand number) of the cast billet is operated. In order to give the quantity of heat corresponding to the temp. difference in a standard rolling temp. and the measured case billet temp. to the cast billet by an induction heating coil 36, the passing speed of the induction heating coil 36 is operated. The signal corresponding to the operated induction heating coil passing speed is transmitted to an induction heating coil front and rear faces table speed controller, and the speeds of a front face table 39 and rear face table 40 are controlled.
