Wooden veneer/composite material has a coating of a plastic material applied to its rear surface so that the veneer may be applied simply to any appropriate surface without the necessity of any pressing type processes. It has the composite made up of a pure wood veneer or a fine veneer piece and a foamed material layer. An intermediate layer of plastic textile is positioned between he veneer and the foamed material. the intermediate layer may be a plastic foil sheet, textile woven layer, paper or metal foil.
