The shopping trolley is of plastic, consisting of a tough like container joined to a frame work provided with pivotable castors. The rear container wall is able to pivot inwards to enable the trolleys to be stacked. The container part is detachable from the frame work. The handle is attached to insert pieces sloping upwards and to the rear of the container and preferably detachable. The advantage over a conventional wire shopping trolley is lightness in weight and ease of cleaning. An alternative design is of one piece construction.
