<p>Two rollers are on the machine frame, and the rear roller is coupled to an oscillator and the front roller acts as a steering and traction roller. The compacting roller is held in a frame coupled to the main frame by a swivel joint with horizontal axis and flexible members. This compactor can travel close to walls and obstacles. The flexible coupling and oscillating drums are readily replaced. The axis of the coupling joint (6) and the flexible elements (5) are arranged into a plane across the longitudinal axis of the oscillating rollers so that the machine frame (1) does not cover the oscillating roller (4). The nonworking overhangs of the roller frame are reduced to a minimum so that the compacting oscillating roller can be driven close to any kind of obstacle.</p> |
