<p>The pressure support surface is for use in aircraft or vehicle safety belts, the support surface is matched to the body of the passenger and attached to the safety belt (5). The stress exerted by the safety belts (5) in the event of an accident, upon the body of the passenger is less due to forces being spread over a longer area. The pressure plate (2) is bent into an aronate (2a) shape to follow body contours, and has a belt clip (3) consisting of a shallow U-shaped channel with inturned legs, inside which the belt (5) can slide. Alternatively the belt can be trained over a T-shaped projection mounted on the pressure plate.</p> |
