Electrochemical treatment equipment - with drum arranged for simultaneous rotation and oscillation

Drum is arranged so that it can rotate in the treatment vessel around a horizontal axis such that it is oscillated up and down by means of driven lifting arms. A ratchet wheel is fixed to the drum coaxially and two pawls are arranged on a diameter perpendicular to the movement direction of the arms and with opposite directions of engagement to produce the rotary movement during oscillation. The lifting arms may be attached to a shaft which is driven from a power source by means of a crank mechanism and each bath may have a number of drums. The mechanism is a simple and inexpensive way of providing simultaneous rotation and oscillation of the drum to reduce defects in parts caused by insufficient movement.
