Record player tone arm - is lifted and turned by control disc raising tone arm control head

The tone arm of a record player is lifted and turned without deteriorating the dynamic properties of the scanning system by masses of the control and actuating elements. The scanning system is easy to exchange and the control drive is completely disengaged when the tone arm rests on the record. This is achieved by esp. designing the rotatable control disc, on which the control head of the tone arm rests. When turned the tone arm can be deposited by lowering the control disc so that it is free from the tone arm. The activating pieces can be threads, cams, indentations, projections etc. on the central disc.
