<p>The multipurpose safety pin may be used as a toy, or constructional element for making linkages and mechanisms. Each pin has an even number of hollow sections at its ends which may be either heads or cones. The pin ends fit together to form a flexible, articulating clearing of pins which can be built up to any length. The pins out as the limbs of the chain, and various patterns may be created from interlinked pieces.</p> |
