A bag making machine has a diversion point between the floor mounting and the storage point controlled by a bag base testing installation which removes any faulty bags from the conveyor track according to patent 1293012. The sensor elements (11, 12 or 13, 14) each in contact with one half of the bag base are attached to a common holder (7 or 8). Both holders may be adjusted towards or away from each other at right angles to the direction of movement of the bags, so suit various bag sizes. The adjustment of these holders is indicated on a scale calibrated in bag widths. |
