The system is operated from single-phase mains. A triac is inserted between the mains neutral point (Mp) or R-conductor and each motor winding, so that each triac has its main terminal (MT1) connected to a terminal of a control voltage source, it is also connected to the neutral or R-conductor of the mains. The other triac has its main terminal (MT2) connected to a motor winding, while its control terminal is connected through a resistor and a switch to the other terminal of control voltage source, as in 21311120. A capacitor is provided between the triac control terminal and its main terminal (MT1).
