1509916 Paving blocks DYTAP REVETMENTS (WESTBRICK) Ltd 20 Aug 1975 [23 Aug 1974] 37150/74 Heading E1B An interlocking surfacing block, particularly for sea walls has offset upper 1 and lower 2 parts, each of which parts has a contoured edge which cooperates with contoured edges of corresponding adjacent blocks to prevent relative movement in the plane of the revetment. Preferably the two parts of the block are of identical shape, each part has edges which are symmetrical about a plane midway between the edges and the contours are so arranged that the blocks can be fitted together in staggered rows and held slightly apart. Some blocks have projections on their upper faces which act as wave dissipators. In a revetment the blocks are layed on a bed of filter material which lies on a plastics filter membrane on a bed of regulating material which lies directly on the solid underlying structure. |
