The hardener comprises a polyamide resin derived from a dimeric acid and a polyether diamine, or from a dimeric acid, a polyetherdiamine and a chain lengthening agent and/or an aliphatic amine. Used for aq. epoxide coating compsns. contg. anti-corrosion pigments of the molybdate type. Crystallisation of the compsns. on storage, esp. at low temps. is inhibited and the films produced by these compsns. have excellent resistance to corrosion and chemicals.
