The drives may be in the same or opposite directions or only the sheave (22) may be driven (Fig. 8, not shown). Material to be crushed is fed down a tube 123 and thrown by the impeller 72 against the vanes 135. The crushed material is then separated and classified by cones 138 and 140 and directional vanes 137 for discharge through duct 122. A blower (not shown) supplies air below the bowl 126. Particle size is controlled by adjustable classification vanes 142 and a verticallyadjustable classification sleeve 146.
