1465973 Polyester laminates MINNESOTA MINING & MFG CO 14 Jan 1974 [15 Jan 1973] 01669/74 Headings B5B and B5N [Also in Division B2] Laminates, preferably obtained by co-extrusion, comprise a transparent polyethylene terephthalate layer and a transparent layer of a copolyester preferably a copolymer of ethylene terephthalate and ethylene isophthalate. Whichever copolyester is used, it must have a softening range at least a part of which lies below the melting temperature of the polyethylene terephthalate. The outer copolyester surface must be able to be embossed and the polyethylene terephthalate outer surface must be smooth. The laminate is biaxially oriented and heatset. |
