<p>The basic principle is to control the time of usage of the system by exploiting the movement of the vanes of a normal meter, appropriately modified without this impairing its basic operation. Obtaining by such modification a digital signal able to synchronise an intelligent timer, with times of intervention previously set by the user himself. In other words, when the time of use exceeds the desired time, the unit detects [it] by signalling the extended outflow of water optically via a pilot light [and] acoustically by making a siren sound and blocking the flow through a normally open electric valve.
