<p>The carrier, which may be a flexible polyurethane sheet, has a matrix of 100 alphanumeric type elements secured thereto in 10 rows and columns parallel to the sides of the diamond shape. The sheet is connected at one corner to a mechanism for moving the sheet to align any one of the type elements with a printing hammer. The mechanism includes two pivotal segments resp. confronting two sets of ten abutments movable as by keyboard for one abutment from each set to limit angular movement of the resp. segment thereby to determine the coordinate position of the sheet.</p> |
