The anchoring equipment partially secures a scraper chain conveyor having shifting rams acting against the side nearest the working face and based on advancing hydraulic supports such as shields etc. Arms or brackets on the individual supporting components are joined to a conveyor bracket on the face side by locking ram and linkage acting in the lengthwise direction of the conveyor. The locking ram and linkage, together with the arms are situated above the shifting rams, as are the support guides, support alignment struts etc. mounted between the conveyor and the supporting components. The connecting brackets have anchorages for the locking linkage, mounted above the shifting rams and the points to which they are coupled.
