<p>1386091 Aminopyridine compounds IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 21 Feb 1972 [19 March 1971] 7291/71 Heading C2C Novel arylaminopyridine compounds of general formula wherein R represents H, acyl or hydrocarbyl; Ar represents aryl optionally substituted by one or more Cl, Br, F, NO 2 , CN, perhalocarbyl, sulphamoyl, hydrocarbyl, hydrocarbyloxy or hydrocarbylthio radicals; X represents Cl, Br, F NO 2 , CN, hydrocarbyloxy or hydrocarbylthio radicals; n is 3 or 4 provided that when X is Cl and n is 4 the aryl radical contains at least two substituents, may be prepared by treating an arylamine ArNHR with a base and an appropriate halogenopyridine, or by reaction of an aminopyridine with an aryl halide in the presence of base. The novel compounds exhibit herbicidal and pesticidal activity.</p> |
