<p>1437276 Double belt moulding machines; laminates ZELON INDUSTRIES Ltd 12 June 1974 26033/74 Headings B5A and B5N A double belt machine, e.g. for moulding laminated boards of plastics foam, includes upper and lower parallel belts 35 within each of which is positioned a number of transversely spaced intermediate pressure applying conveyers 46, each comprising an endless roller bearing chain 47 which is driven and supported independently of the belts and extends between its respective belt and fixed rails 50. The belts 35 comprise platen sections 36 which abut lengthwise and have their ends 37, Fig. 5 secured to roller bearing chains such as 19, 27 ,in guides on the machine framework and passing around sprockets 21, 22, 24, 25, 29, 30, 32, 33. The undersurfaces of the platen-sections have faces 42, 43 provided by L-shaped bars which receive overlapping rail sections 44 spaced transversely of the platen sections for engaging with the transversely spaced roller bearing chains 47. The roller chains 47 are driven faster than the belts whereby the sections 36 are kept in abutment. To produce laminated board, foam material from means 65 is fed on to a paperboard sheet 66, and a further sheet 67 is applied, the sheet assembly then being fed through the machine.</p> |
