<p>1466206 Handle for a pan or pan-lid HEINRICH BAUMGARTEN EISEN-UND BLECHWARENFABRIK 12 Aug 1975 [14 Aug 1974] 33612/75 Heading A4A A detachable handle, for a pan or for a lid thereof, comprises a plastics handle body 3, a crosspiece 5 joined to the pan or pan lid 4, and leaf-springs 15, 16 each having a part 17 bent over to form a hook, said springs being accommodated in grooves 13, 14 in the handle body such that each spring bears against a wall of the corresponding groove and with a part of the curved portion of the hook against an abutment on the crosspiece. In Fig. 1 the handle body comprises a knob 2 and a base member 1 and a tongue 20 punched out of the hook engages beneath a shoulder 21 on the base member so that the two portions of the body are held together. The springs are retained in the respective grooves by further tongues (19), Fig. 2 (not shown). In Fig. 7 (not shown) the hooks of the springs are joined together by a bridge (22). The crosspiece preferably comprises a sheet metal strip bent in U-form and fastened to the lid by the arms of the U, and may be provided with recesses (10), Fig. 3 (not shown), for the engagement of protuberances 11 in the handle body so that the assembly does not rotate. The handle can be removed from the lid by pulling.</p> |
