<p>The installation picks up and deposits ferro-magnetic particles, esp. ferro-magnetic metal filings. A magnet (7) is fitted inside a housing adjustable between operating (8) and rest (9) positions. In the operating position (8) of the magnet (7) the particles are attracted and stick to the outer surface (12) of the housing wall adjoining the magnet and in the rest position of the magnet the filings fall away from that surface. The movement of the particles on the surface (12) is limited following the movement of the magnet (7). The magnet is a piston shaped permanent magnet which moves to and fro inside a pipe (2) with a stripping off ring surrounding the pipe. The pipe (2), the cover (4) and the ring (6) are made from plastic.</p> |
