<p>The bottle is a short cylindrical tube, tapering slightly at its lower end and with a collar a little above the middle, on which it can rest in a test-tube rack. It has a clip for attachment, e.g., to a bag contg. blood taken from a donor and a sample of which it contains. The sample bottle is filled at the top and closed with a stopper. It is emptied at the bottom, by squeezing its sides until its contents pass out, drop by drop, through a small opening. This opening has a short neck, and can be closed by a cap which is permanently attached to the bottle by a thread of plastic.</p> |
