PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily install wires on a contact point by arranging individual wires of a cable at intervals in parallel to each other by installing a connector on the cable, and cutting an excess part by installing these wires in a groove of a mandrel. SOLUTION: An insulation displacing connector(IDC) 10 is installed on a cable 20 by a machine, and individual wires 18 in the cable 20 are meshed with a fixture, and are arranged at intervals in parallel to each other. Next, a mandrel 12 of a connector 10 is meshed by a press mechanism, and this is pressed to the meshed wires 18 by the fixture, and the respective wires 18 are installed in a groove 14 of the corresponding mandrel 12. The mandrel 12 is also pressed to an IDC contact point block 22 in a condition where the wires 18 exist in the groove 14, and the respective wires 18 are meshed with and installed on the end 30 of a corresponding IDC contact point 24. When the wires 18 are pressed to the groove 14 of the mandrel 12, an excess part of the respective wires 18 is cut by an edge 106. Therefore, installation of the wires of the cable 20 on a corresponding contact point of the IDC can be simplified. |
