摘要 <p>The completed matrix element for computer memories comprises a series of parallel X-axis co-ordinate wires (9) and Y-axis co-ordinate wires (3) forming a rectangular matrix, with rings of ferrite core elements (4) fixed to the matrix intersections and inclined at 45 deg. all in the same direction. During manufacture the lower ends of the Y-wires (3) are fixed to terminals (6). Each X wire is fed through a row of rings at an angle and attached to side contact terminals (6) alongside a previously assembled row on a hinged framework (1) with corner joints (10). The upper ends of the Y-wires are retained by a tension srip (7) with small depressions along its upper edge to locate the wires.</p>
