<p>One part of the damper is coupled to the hub and the other part to the friction lining. The design is claimed to be particularly simple and robust. The central disc (11) is fixed to the hub (10) and the side discs (12, 13) are connected to the central disc by tension damping springs fitted in rectangular windows in the discs. The springs are supported by angled sections (22) that are formed out of the side discs (12, 13) and locate through the windows in the other side disc. The two side discs are identical. There is a widened section in the window through which the angled sections protrude. The angled sections have various designs of end folds to lock the discs in position. The friction lining is mounted directly onto the side discs.</p> |
