Cement burning plant with supplementary cyclone - between preheater and kiln to improve heat recovery

Plant for mfg. cement by the dry method comprises a rotary tubular kiln, a cyclone-preheater, a supplementary cyclone where material leaving the preheater is heated by the burnt gas leaving the furnace, and a combustion chamber into which the material passes after leaving the second cyclone, and into which part of the fuel is injected. Specifically, the supplementary cyclone is fed with all the burnt gas leaving the furnace, and the preheater is fed only with gas from the combustion chamber. The plant exhibits improved heat recovery from the burnt gases with a corresponding reduction in the cost of heat energy.
