The bench type bar stool for the accommodations of several persons is equipped with a back rest (D) and arm rests (A). The stool comprises an elongated seat leaf (1) which is mounted on a skeletal frame of slender vertical legs (2) with lateral ring bracings (3, 4). The arm rests (A) may be provided at each longitudinal extremity of the back rest (D). The arm rests and back rest may be upholstered and line with similar fabric to that deployed on the seat. Alternatively different fabrics and variegated colour schemes may be used.
