<p>The two prefabricated sections (1, 2) for assembly are fixed to a wooden rail at the top which is fixed to the ceiling. The connecting-piece consists of a flexible or sprung strip (5), made for example of steel, and of uniform width. The cross-section of the strip is sinusoidal, with each end extended by a tongue (6, 7) corresponding in length to one sixth of a sine-wave. The width of the strip (5) equals that of the prefabricated partition sections (1, 2). The strip (5) can compress and extend in a direction at right angles to its width and to its perpendicular direction. At each of the sine-wave vertices (8, 9, 10) the strip (5) has two vertical rims or tabs (8a, 9a, 10a) - one or each of its edges at right angles to its width.</p> |
