<p>The landing aid allows the distinguishing fixed or floating features along a coastline on off-shore to be spotted and identified simultaneously and used as land marks. The equipment comprises optics for distant viewing, e.g. binoculars, and a device for viewing photographic or cinematographic images. The user of the equipment is able to observe simultaneously both the image and the reality. The image viewing apparatus may include an eyepiece at a variable distance from the optics. The optics and the image viewer are carried by a grip or handle with a bearing compass. The compass may be read by means of the eyepiece of the optical system.</p> |
