<p>The cover (1) is made from plastic and has two long straight sides (2) and two similar ends (3) the corners being rounded and having large radii. A deep lid (5) is provided, having the same dimensions as the lower part and joined to it by a strip hinge (4) along one side, a gap being also formed for opening the lid and a catch is provided. The cover has no bottom, being intended to slip over the crate from the top and its dimensions permit easy fitting without undue clearance. Its secondary role is to protect the bottles, such as those containing beer, from the light.</p> |
