The decoder contains: . three matrices connected to each other in series, namely a storage matrix (4) and a first (5) and second (6) switching matrix . a logic circuit (3), the output of which is connected to a first input (R) of a control circuit (1) . a binary counter (2) . another input terminal (X), which is connected to the input of switches (G1...G10), via which additional inputs (X1...X10) of the second switching matrix (6) can be connected to additional inputs (X, X) of the control circuit (1). The decoder can be used in the audiofrequency receiver for all kinds of code programmes with only slight changes.
