The laundry-drying stand has four standing legs (10). Two respective standing legs carry at the top a connecting part (11), in which is arranged a horizontal crossmember, to which lines (32) for hanging the laundry are fastened. The two pairs of standing legs are connected by means of a horizontal tube (19, 20). The standing legs and the horizontal tube can each be assembled from two portions. A tension screw (35, 36) serves for tensioning the lines (32). <IMAGE>
