Track-laying machine with camber determining unit - has laser reference line running along beside the track for use with machine-mounted control units

The unit operates with a laser reference line (7) running along beside the track. The track laying machine has several similarly equipped measurement axes (4, 5, 6) with outrigger arms (4', 5', 6') on which control units (9, 10, 11) are movably mounted. The control units successively measure rail camber values in the same plane (I-I) transverse to the track with reference to the laser line. The camber values are transferred to a plotting unit. The strip charts are arranged behind one another in decreasing linear scales proportional to the spacing of the measurement axes. Three measurement axes are employed.
