摘要 <p>The steel has the compsn. by wt. C 0.8-1.5%, Mn 9-25% Si 0.3-1.2%, Cr 0.8-4%, Nb 0.06-0.25%, B 0.001-0.01% and S is not >0.05% P is not >0.1% balance Fe. The steel has high strength, and superior wear resistance particularly when exposed to low temps. of about -80 degrees C. It can be hardened at a relatively low hardening temp. The steel, which has comparable quality with that of conventional low temp. wear resistant steel, is more economical to produce as the Cr content is low and the steel does not contain V. Used for tips of earthmoving equipment, crushers, chain links and railway points exposed to high wear at low temps.</p>
