<p>An agricultural drill has a hopper (1) with outlets (3) separately regulated and closed by sliders (2). The outlets (3) are attached to a seed box (5) divided up by partitions. A shaft (6) with cam-wheels (7) is pivot-mounted in the seed box (5). The shaft (6) is driven by a chain (8), an infinitely variable gearbox (9), and a chain drive (10) by a rotating friction wheel. Inside the gearbox (9) is a tachometer with a hand (12) indicating the shaft (6) speed on a scale (13). Underneath the cam wheels (7) are pivoting flaps. A fan (15) driven by the tractor power take-off is on one side of the hopper (1). The air is conveyed through venturi pipes (18) to pipes (19, 19') joined to them. The seed or fertilizer is blown through downward-bent outlet ends (21) to the soil. Deflector plates, adjustable in position, are near the outlets.</p> |
