<p>A device is used for the measurement of ski "hardness". It is used in partic. for waxed Langlauf skis, and is designed to provide exact measurement capability whilst being easily operated and of simple construction. Ski hardness is the stiffness of skis against stresses tending to cause bending, which are produced by static and dynamic forces caused by the skiers body weight and transmitted through his legs. A holder for the pair of skis contains two clamps (1, 2) which move relative to each other. The first clamp (1) carries the fixed part (5) of a press. measuring device (6). The moving press. sensor (7) is in contact with the upper (10) of the pair of skis (9) which is supported on the lower clamp element (2).</p> |
