PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide ceramic thermistor which is thermally stable and has large values of thermistor parameters by constituting the thermistor by using a semiconductor ceramic containing an oxide spinel containing manganese, nickel, and indium. SOLUTION: A semiconductor ceramic containing an oxide spinel has the composition expressed by Mn2.33-x Inx Ni0.67 O4 (where 0.05<=x<=0.75, preferably, 0.05<=x<=0.68, more preferably, x=0.58±0.02). A raw material oxide is prepared by mixing the necessary components at a stoichiometric mixing rate and premixed powder is obtained by the mixture with zirconium grinding balls. Then the premixed powder is granulated together with a binder composition. Pellets are formed in a compressing process and the pellets are sintered in the air. The semiconductor ceramic thus obtained becomes a single-phase material having a spinel structure. |
