PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change the arrangement and the size of a picture and a fixed character string in a printer device for printing the fixed character string selected with the video picture which is taken in. SOLUTION: Picture data based on a video signal is written into the area 40 of DRAM 4. When a printing mode is designated, picture data is read from the area 40 in a vertical blanking period and it is written into RAM 21. The necessary processing of enlargement and vertical/lateral conversion is executed in RAM 21 in a valid period. Processed picture data is written into an area 41 in a next blanking period. The picture data is read at a video rate and is guided to an output terminal 8. Then, it is projected on a monitor. Character string data compressed and stored in ROM 22 is selected and read. Then, it is written into RAM 21 while it is expanded. It is read in the blanking period and it is written into the area 41. Then, the picture and character string data are read from the area 41 by the indication of printing from a user and it is printed by a printing head 14. |
