The lubricant dispenser releases fixed amounts of oil to a bearing. The reservoir is surrounded by an electrical heating coil connected to a time switch. One end of the tubular reservoir is supplied from a tank through a non-return valve. At the other end of the lubricant reservoir tube is a pressure responsive high speed valve leading to a bearing supply tube. The lubricant passes through a spring-loaded piston under pressure, through the non-return valve, and into the tube. The heater coil is switched on by the time clock. The differential expansion of tube and oil produces an excessive pressure. At a limiting pressure, the high speed valve opens, releasing a fixed volume of oil which runs down to the bearing.
