<p>A peristaltic pump has its flexible tube looped around a set of rollers (32) supported as satellites around a central drive wheel (36) with a toothed periphery engaging teeth on discs (31) on the ends of the rollers, the tensioning forces of the rollers on the tube being opposed by a cord (40) doubled around a portion of the support frame (48). The two ends of the frame can be moved apart so as to increase these tensioning forces. This cord can be formed into a double loop by allowing it to cross over at the supporting member (46) remote from the flexible tube, and a set of pulleys (45) can be mounted in the four corners of the support, around which the strands of the core pass.</p> |
