The lightweight container for heavy loads is suitable for the transport and corrosion-free storage of all kinds of goods in salt-laden atmospheres, being also equipped for evacuating the space inside. The outer surfaces are of impervious shock and impact-proof hollow bodies of plastic and or sandwich construction. There are one or more wall sections joined together. One or more bulkhead support frames have openings at the edges to take different types of gas and water-tight bulkheads. The supporting structure is a two-section rustless frame, enclosing the hollow bodies but not secured to them.
